New Kids' Book Club Sets

Kids who love reading can borrow our new Kids' Book Club Sets, and read with their friends! Each book club set contains 5 copies of a great book, and a resource manual with sample questions, fun activities, and tips on running your own book club.

Book clubs are a great way for kids to turn reading into a fun, social activity. Kids will develop critical reading and comprehension skills with their friends. In a book club, a group of kids all read the same book, then get together to discuss it and do a related activity.

We have Book Club Sets for every reading level and interest! You will find a complete list of our kits below. Book Club Kits are located in the library's children's department, and can be borrowed by anyone.

Tumblebooks Online!

TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to popular picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you.

The Tumblebooks site also provides a growing selection of books in French and Spanish, and a variety of teaching games and aids to help beginning readers improve their skills. This is a wonderful resource, and we are proud to offer it from our website.
