The library will notify you when your requests (holds) are ready to be picked up and when you have overdue items.  You can choose the notification method.

Email notification

If you select email notification, you will automatically be emailed:
•  as soon as items you have requested are ready to be picked up (holds notice)
•  several days in advance of due dates for items you have borrowed (date reminder)
•  when items you have borrowed are overdue (overdue notice)

This is the quickest method of receiving notifications.  It also has the advantage of offering a date reminder notice.

How to register for email notification

You can register for email notification: in person at the library's circulation counter; or online via email. (Note: If you provided us with an email address when you initially received your library card, you do not need to register online for email notification.)

To register online:
•  Address your email to:
•  In the subject line, enter:  NEW SIGN UP
•  Then provide your: (1) full name; (2) library card barcode number;  and  (3) telephone number.

To change your email address online, follow the same steps:
•  Address your email to:
•  In the subject line, enter:  CHANGE EMAIL ADDRESS
•  Then provide your name, barcode number and telephone number.

Notification by telephone and regular mail

•  If you have not signed up for email notification, we will telephone you when your holds are ready for pick-up.
•  When items are overdue, we will send three overdue notices by regular mail.
•  Please note that date reminder notices are not available with this notification option.
